Role Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are fluent in Sinhala and English, with knowledge of Tamil being an added advantage. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately label and annotate diverse datasets
  • Transcribe audio/video content and improve existing transcripts
  • Work with text, images, audio, and video content
  • Learn and apply precise annotation guidelines
  • Use digital annotation tools and platforms
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Participate in training sessions
  • Help improve data preparation processes

Qualifications

  • Currently studying or graduated from an Arts faculty, with Media, Politics, or Journalism as a main subject
  • Fluency in Sinhala and English
  • Excellent listening skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written communication skills in the languages you're proficient in
  • Ability to summarize information effectively
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with online tools
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Preferred Skills

  • Having a working Laptop is a must.
  • Familiarity with transcription software or tools
  • Experience with content summarization or writing
  • Knowledge of data annotation practices
  • Interest in technology, politics, media, and the YouTube ecosystem
