Position Overview:

We are seeking a Microsoft Azure Security Engineer to strengthen our cloud infrastructure against threats and ensure compliance with the latest security standards. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure and has obtained certifications that showcase proficiency in Microsoft Azure security.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of cloud resources in Microsoft Azure.
2. Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
3. Work closely with IT teams to ensure secure architectural designs, especially for hybrid cloud environments.
4. Participate in the creation and/or maintenance of security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
5. Configure and use Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and other security tools to monitor and respond to threats.
6. Engage in regular security audits and handle remediation efforts.
7. Conduct research to keep abreast of latest security vulnerabilities and ensure that necessary patches or workarounds are applied.
8. Collaborate with teams across the organization to communicate and train on security best practices.
9. Investigate and troubleshoot security-related incidents and provide post-event analyses.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
2. Proficient understanding of cloud computing technologies and security challenges.
3. 5+ years of experience in cloud security, preferably with extensive exposure to Microsoft Azure.
4. Experience with Azure Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Cloud.
5. Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or other relevant Microsoft certifications.
6. SC-100 Certified
