We are looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer who will make a large impact on our development process. You will take ownership of various aspects of our development process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code and contributing to the growth and success of our team. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities that contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of our software.

Core Responsibilities

● Lead the entire lifecycle of assigned tickets, from scoping to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance

● Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and deliverables

● Implement code that is clear, concise, tested, and easily understood by others ● Conduct comprehensive code reviews for other team members, offering constructive feedback to enhance code quality and consistency

● Write and improve our documentation and development processes

● Uphold and promote the company's core values, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture

● Contribute ideas and insights to improve team processes, tools, and methodologies, with a focus on efficiency and quality

● Your focus will primarily be on our Vue/GCP/Lambda apps, taking a lead role in their development, enhancement, and maintenance

● Participate in rotational assignments to other codebases, leveraging your expertise to contribute to diverse projects and broaden your skill set

Who You Are

● You communicate well - internally and with customers, written and verbal.

● You display a strong sense of self-motivation, taking initiative to drive tasks and projects

● You have the drive to immediately get productive in our tech stack within our tech stack

which primarily includes Vue.js/Typescript, Ruby on Rails, Google and AWS Cloud Functions and Postgres

● You bring a strong understanding of good UX practices to the table. You're passionate about building interfaces that intuitively guide users through engaging experiences.

● You’re an expert with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, and single-page application) and frontend testing (Cypress, Jest)

● You have 5+ years with Vue or React experience and you have clear opinions on the characteristics of well-constructed Vue/React frontend code

● You have extensive experience with hooks and composition API

● You have 2-3 years of backend experience with server side APIs (Rails is a huge bonus)

● You have strong experience with component-driven development and Storybook

● You’re comfortable navigating large codebases across various repositories

● You have strong experience with Lambda/Google Cloud functions

● You have experience managing CI/CD pipelines to ensure deployments are smooth and reliable

● Bonus! You have experience with Tailwind
