Job Profile: In a full-time engagement, reporting to a designated Senior Investment Advisor/the CEO, with minimum supervision, will advise clients, in line with respective client's wealth management objectives, to optimise trading opportunities in the CSE.
Training, Certification & Licensing Requirements:
- As per the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, a person needs to obtain a Certificate in Capital Markets (CCM), and complete related requirements to receive a license as a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), to hold the position of 'Investment Advisor'. A committed person can complete these in 1 year. Until such is completed, the successful candidate will function as a Trainee Investment Advisor'.
- With CCM studies, and by understudying a designated Senior Investment Advisor, the successful candidate is required to learn to handle below responsibilities from 4 through to 7. Most of learning would be through self-study.
- However, candidate is expected to possess required skills from 1 through 3, when joining.
Responsibilities:
- Generate independent leads to identify prospective clients with investment capacity, and risk appetite to invest/trade in the CSE.
- Network and participate in suitable forums to identify such clients.
- Visit, and communicate with identified clients to attract them to invest/trade in the CSE.
- Independently read, interpret, and comprehend fundamental and macro-economic research to advice clients.
- Develop an understanding of market technical analysis, to be able to discuss market timing with clients, as required.
- Understand each client's wealth management objectives, and risk appetite for investments in the CSE.
- Within each client's identified scope, advise clients for their optimal participation in the CSE.
Requirements:
- Age below 30 years.
- Successfully passed Advanced Level examination in any stream
- Having completed or studying for a relevant degree or a professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in or ability to undertake Business Development, Sales, or Client Relations in building and sustaining relationships is a significant advantage.
- Need to be highly computer literate on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Emailing.
- Outgoing, pleasing personality with engaging conversational abilities.
- Fluent commination skills in English, and Sinhala or Tamil.
