Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and highly organized Community Manager (Social Media Manager) to oversee and grow our online presence across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will develop and execute content, social media, and community engagement strategies that align with our brand identity and business goals. They will be responsible for engaging with followers, fostering strong relationships with our audience, and staying ahead of digital trends.
The Community Manager will manage the social media presence of multiple brands, including:

- Yohani Origins
- Dilanjan
- Outright Stage
- Outright Play
- Outright Media House
- Outright Labs
- Licenced Clothing

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Content Creation
- Develop a comprehensive social media and community-building strategy tailored for each platform.
- Plan and execute a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and engagement.
- Create captivating captions for posts that reflect the brand’s tone and personality.
- Collaborate with designers, video editors, and content creators to ensure visually appealing and engaging content.
- Conduct social media audits and suggest improvements based on performance metrics.
Platform Management & Execution
- Manage daily posting on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter (X), Pinterest, LinkedIn, and any future platforms.
- Optimize content for each platform based on best practices and trends.
- Schedule and publish posts using social media management tools.
- Utilize reels, stories, live sessions, and other platform features to increase engagement.
Community Engagement & Growth
- Actively monitor, respond, and engage with followers, comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely and brand-aligned manner.
- Build relationships with artists, influencers, and industry professionals to grow the brand’s reach.
- Proactively engage with industry-related accounts to foster community growth.
- Identify and nurture brand ambassadors and loyal followers.
Influencer & Partnership Collaboration
- Identify potential influencers, micro-influencers, and brand collaborators for partnerships.
- Work with PR and marketing teams to leverage collaborations for wider reach.
Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Track and analyze social media insights, engagement rates, and growth metrics.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on social media performance.
- Suggest data-driven improvements for engagement and conversion.
Trend Analysis & Innovation
- Stay updated with emerging trends, algorithms, and platform changes.
- Identify viral content opportunities and suggest creative campaign ideas.
- Experiment with new formats, filters, and content strategies.
Crisis & Reputation Management
- Monitor and manage online reputation, ensuring a positive brand image.
- Handle negative comments, criticism, and crises professionally.
- Implement damage control strategies when necessary.
Additional Responsibilities
- Live Coverage: Provide real-time updates and manage social media during live events, concerts, and artist performances.
- Social Listening: Monitor conversations and trends to ensure brand relevance and engagement.
- Content Repurposing: Transform existing content into different formats (e.g., turning interviews into reels, tweets, blog posts, or IG carousels).
- Hashtag Strategy: Develop an optimized hashtag strategy for each post.
- Collaborations with Digital Media Outlets: Reach out to media platforms for content distribution and promotion.
- Crisis Planning: Develop strategies for managing online backlash or negative PR.
- Community Feedback Loop: Gather and report community feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Event Coordination: Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness.
- Customer Support Liaison: Work closely with customer support to address community issues and improve user experience.
- Policy Development: Establish community guidelines and policies to foster a safe and inclusive environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience managing social media for multiple brands or artists.
- In-depth knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter (X), Pinterest, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
- Strong copywriting and caption-writing skills.
- Proficiency in content planning, scheduling, and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Excellent English communication skills (Sinhala/Tamil proficiency is a plus).
- Ability to work around artists’ schedules and accommodate last-minute changes.
- Basic design skills (Canva, Photoshop) are a plus.
- A passion for music, entertainment, and digital media.
Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required)
- Experience in paid social media advertising.
- Video editing skills (basic use of CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro).
- Familiarity with SEO for social media content.
- Experience managing artist pages or entertainment brands.
