Technical Lead - AI (SW01)

Role Description: The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven software solutions. The Tech Lead will mentor a team of engineers while ensuring the delivery of scalable AI applications. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical work and leadership maturity to drive AI initiatives aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, UI/UX, and backend, to deliver end-to-end AI-based features.
  • Architect AI models and integrate them into web/mobile solutions, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals.
  • Define best practices for AI model development, testing, and integration, ensuring code quality and optimization.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior and senior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and team development.
  • Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering through to deployment and maintenance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through iterative development, code reviews, and peer collaboration.
  • Stay updated with the latest AI trends, technologies and tools, and proactively suggest improvements to current processes.
  • Ensure adherence to agile methodologies, manage sprint planning, and contribute to retrospectives.

Years of Experience:

  • 5-7 years of full-stack development experience, with at least 3-5 years in AI/ML technologies
  • 1-2 years of experience in leading AI / ML driven projects and offering technical leadership to team(s)

Must Have Skills:

  • AI / ML Stack
    • Python: 3+ years
    • TensorFlow or Py-Torch: 3+ years
    • Experience in integrating AI models into web / mobile applications: 3+ years
    • Hands on experience with Pandas, Keras, Hugging face models
    • Proficiency is in ReactJS or React Native or JavaScript Framework is required
  • Proficiency in Git version control.
  • Experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Proven experience leading AI projects, from conception to production.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.
    • Experience mentoring and guiding teams through complex problem-solving.
    • Ability to make informed decisions about technical trade-offs and business impact.

Nice to have skills: (one of either)

  • Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, or other AI subfields
  • Understanding of microservices architecture
  • JavaScript Stack: 3+ years
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Fastlane)

Option to upskill:

  • Certifications in AI/ML

Preferred Certifications (non-mandatory)

  • AWS Certified AI Practitioner
  • Azure AI Engineer Associate
