Key Responsibilities:
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Partner with key stakeholders to drive high-level design decisions.
- Act as a bridge between stakeholder teams and Internal teams, ensuring consistent communication and alignment on technical architecture and design.
Technical Oversight:
- Monitor and guide the progress of ongoing projects, to ensure adherence to the defined architectural vision.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to tech leads, helping them to make informed design recommendations and flagging any deviations from the intended direction.
- Leverage expertise in Azure and cloud development to guide architectural decisions and best practices.
Support and Problem-Solving:
- Offer day-to-day technical support to ongoing projects, helping them navigate challenges and identify solutions when blocked
- Ensure that technical queries are addressed promptly and that the teams have the necessary support to move forward efficiently.
- Utilize DevOps expertise to streamline development processes, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and ensure robust deployment practices.
Design and Implementation:
- Participate in the design and implementation of APIs, events, and data-sharing solutions across teams, ensuring consistency in format and approach.
- Identify opportunities for reusing functionality between different projects and flag these for consideration.
- Implement cloud-native solutions and guide the adoption of Azure services to meet project requirements.
Project Initiation and Onboarding:
- Engage in the initial discussions of new projects, helping to define requirements and participating in the high-level design process.
- Coordinate with the stakeholders to identify the right resources for new projects, onboard them, and guide them through execution.
Governance and Best Practices:
- Contribute to the establishment of data governance practices, defining clear domains and ownership, and recommending standardized data-sharing formats.
- Ensure that technical architecture decisions are aligned with the broader vision, avoiding unnecessary duplication of data and encouraging the use of existing APIs.
- Promote best practices in cloud architecture, DevOps, and data management.
Idead Candidate
- Over 10 + years of relevant experience including strong expertise in Azure cloud services, cloud development, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication, Leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and departments.
- BSc and MSc in relevant fields
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Technical Coordinator, or similar role in a complex, multi-team environment.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding technical teams, particularly in a remote or distributed setup.
- Familiarity with data governance practices and the ability to define clear domains and ownership structures.
- Ability to identify and promote the reuse of functionality across projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) systems and data integration projects.
- Background in working with geographically distributed teams, particularly in regions with significant time zone differences.
