Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current and future market trends to formulate a 2-3 year business expansion plan.
  • Develop and implement sales expansion plans for each product, focusing on cost reduction.
  • Monitor monthly sales and profit progress, taking corrective action if performance falls behind budget.
  • Propose sales plans for new products or businesses, and suggest investment opportunities to customers, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while creating connections with potential clients.
  • Direct staff to improve performance, identify and address team weaknesses, and propose strategies to enhance business efficiency, including the adoption of paperless processes and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
  • Ensure all operations comply with internal and external regulations.
  • Report the team's performance and operational challenges to superiors and consult on next steps.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales or Trading.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge in accounting, finance, and risk management is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of government regulations related to the chemical business.
  • Advisory and consultation skills with strong networking and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in English for both writing and conversation.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Fluency in Japanese is a significant advantage.
