Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized career counseling and guidance to students, helping them explore career paths and develop action plans to achieve their professional aspirations.
• Conduct assessments to identify students' interests, skills, strengths, and career preferences, and provide personalized recommendations based on their unique profiles.
• Assist students in developing job search strategies, including resume writing, networking, interviewing skills, and job application techniques.
• Organize and facilitate career development workshops, seminars, and events to enhance students' career readiness and job search skills.
• Coordinate student enrollment, including admissions, registration, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support curriculum development and implementation.
• Handle inquiries from students, parents, and the community with professionalism and empathy.
• Establish and maintain relationships with industry professionals, employers, and alumni to facilitate networking opportunities, internships, and job placements for students.
• Stay current with industry trends, labor market information, and emerging career opportunities in the media industry, and share relevant information with students.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions and outcomes, and track career placement and success rates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, human resources, or related field; master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in career counseling, advising, or related roles, preferably in an educational or media-related setting.
• Strong understanding of career development theories, counseling techniques, and assessment tools.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with students.
• Knowledge of the media industry, including job roles, trends, and career pathways, is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to support student success.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
