Role Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Ruby on Rails Tech Lead to join our development team and assist in building out the back-end infrastructure for our application. As a Ruby on Rails Engineer, you will primarily focus on developing and maintaining API endpoints that will power our React front end.
Responsibilities:
- Guiding the development team to design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient API endpoints using Ruby on Rails.
- Build out the necessary back-end functionality to support the front-end requirements, ensuring seamless integration and smooth user experience.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Optimize and improve the performance of existing API endpoints to ensure optimal response times and efficient data retrieval.
- Troubleshoot and debug any issues or bugs that arise in the back-end infrastructure and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to understand their requirements and provide assistance and guidance when needed.
- Conduct thorough testing of the developed APIs to ensure functionality, reliability, and data integrity.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Ruby on Rails development and suggest improvements or alternative solutions when appropriate.
Years of Experience:
Minimum 8+ years of software development experience with 6+ years of Ruby on Rails and at least 3 years of team leading experience.

- Ruby on Rails: 6+ Years
- Architectural & Design Exposure: 2+ Years
- Cloud Experience: AWS 3+ Years
- Experience with RDMBS: Postgres SQL
- Elastic Search: 2+ years
- Experience with Restful APIs
- Unit Testing
- Experience with Agile Software Development
- Troubleshooting existing applications
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with React.js
- Kubernetes and Container Orchestration
