Responsibilities and Requirements
• Weekly bookkeeping using Xero – including bank reconciliation/matching, supplier invoices and receipts.
• Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements, accounts receivable and payable.
• End to end payroll, including new employee setup, employee terminations, superannuation payments, payroll tax, STP reporting.
• Quarterly BAS and Monthly IAS.
• CFO monthly/quarterly financial review.
• Preparation of annual financial statements.
• Preparation of draft statement of taxable income to be provided to tax agent.
• Systems work (XERO, Hubdocs).
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience (minimum 2+ years of Australian accounting experience).
• Working knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of competency with Microsoft Office suite products.
