OVERVIEW

Based in London, United Kingdom, Zapmii Limited are seeking an experienced and motivated QA Engineer with at least 1 year of experience in manual and automation testing to join our Software Development team. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all software products meet the highest quality standards. This includes reviewing and analysing system specifications, developing, and executing test plans and test cases, and reporting and tracking software defects. You will also collaborate with developers to ensure that all software products meet quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and analyse system specifications: Understand the requirements of the system and create test cases accordingly. Review and analyse system specifications, user stories, and requirements documentation to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
• Collaborate with developers to develop effective testing strategies: Work with the development team to identify and mitigate potential risks. Communicate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues.
• Create and maintain test cases and test plans: Create test cases and test plans that cover all aspects of the system. Document and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts in a test management tool.
• Execute manual and automated tests: Run manual and automated tests to ensure that the system functions as expected. Identify, document, and track defects found during testing.
• Report and track software defects: Identify defects in the system and report them to the development team. Report defects and track their progress through resolution.
• Participate in sprint planning and review meetings: Attend meetings with the development team to ensure that the testing process is aligned with the development schedule. Collaborate with the development team to ensure that testing is integrated into the overall project plan.
• Continuously improve the QA process: Continuously improve the QA process by identifying and implementing best practices. Suggest improvements to the testing process to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in software testing.
• Experience with both manual and automation testing.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java and JavaScript are a plus.
• High level of diligence, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple, cross-functional teams.
• Comfort working in a high growth, continuously evolving environment.
