Senior Content Marketer

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Someone who has superb content creation skills, copywriting and editing skills, deep understanding of sales funnel, research skills, planning skills, SEO skills, data analysis, and technical skills.

Ability to create a variety of media, including blog posts, videos, podcasts, white papers, infographics, e-books, newsletters, and website landing pages.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising a team of content writers, ghost writers, and freelance writers and working closely with outside consultants to create and implement the strategy.
  • Building and managing an editorial calendar that delivers content aligned with the company’s objectives and business goals.
  • Ensuring all content is on-brand — in terms of style, quality, and tone, optimize the content for search engines and social promotion.
  • Creating specifications and content appropriate for the brand’s customer personas.
  • Strategising content pillars and sub pillars, repurposing content.
  • Developing editorial strategy, so content is consistent across all delivery platforms.
  • Conducting periodic content audits.
  • Tracking and calculating content ROI.
  • Ensuring that content strategy meets business objectives.
  • Managing and analyzing content marketing campaigns to evaluate performance.
  • Updating copy on company web pages and creating new ones.
  • Researching and monitoring news in the field to learn about popular topics and trends.
  • Writing and sharing social media posts and captions.
  • Working closely with SEO people, conducting content and keyword research, and discussing priorities of company targets to perform lead generation strategies.
  • Strategising and implementing internal communications.

Must have Experienced:

Experience with a B2B IT/software company

Minimum experience of 5 years in a full-time job.

Experience working with agency partners to develop world-class marketing campaigns, agency experience a plus.

  • Content presentation skills – you should be able to determine how content should be packaged for new and existing consumers to induce them to take business actions.
  • Content delivery skills – you determine the best distribution channel to deliver content to your audience.
  • You should have experience in handling and strategizing marketing campaigns.
  • Content monetization skills – as a content strategist, you must be able to plan how your content can get customers to buy your product or service and thereby earn revenue.
  • Multitasking and organizational skills – you will have to handle several types of projects and people regularly
  • Editorial competency – you will conduct thorough audits to determine what content should be kept, edited, rewritten, and more
  • Should possess the art of conducting interviews.
  • Solid foundation of Marketing automation tools and usage
  • Extensive experience in email marketing

Knowledge and skillsets:

  • Data Analysis: Proficiency with Google Analytics and social media analytics.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of WordPress, Content Management Systems, and No-Code platforms like Webflow, Airtable, Zapier, and Integromat.

SEO skills:

  • Keyword research
  • Guest posting and backlinks generation
  • On-page and off-page SEO, technical SEO
  • Competitor analysis
