Digital Talent MENA is looking for an SRE Senior Principal Engineer for one of our clients.

Our client is a prominent global telecommunications and technology group operating in the Middle East and North Africa.

The job holder will be responsible for the smooth operation of a company's IT infrastructure. From creating, coding, and implementing systems software to analyzing data to improve existing ones.

Job Responsibilities:

• Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.

• Have the technical skills to code, review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.

• Demonstrates a good understanding of procedures and concepts through extensive experience and advises the execution of design and implementation of test plans through the provision of advice and execution of administrative activities.

• Supports the team in the delivery of proper analyses of the business value outcomes and execution of projects, including technology perspective, capability road map, and possible scenarios for deployment.

• Provides operational support with supervisory responsibility for a team that generates domain-level deployment specifications and test applications by designing, writing, and updating test cases and test scripts.

• Includes overseeing regression, system integration, ad hoc testing, completing defect reports, and verifying any fixed issues.

• Uses communication skills to exchange ideas and information concisely and logically to support ensuring the relevance of test scripts, 3rd party vendors, project teams, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Demonstrates a good understanding of procedures and concepts through acquired experience, to supervise the process of requirements revision, specifications, and technical design to ensure smooth quality assurance processes.

• Follows the delivery roadmap, ensuring the product is available to the customer in line with KPIs (e.g. on time and to specified standards).

• Performs other job-related duties or tasks defined by the supervisor or resulting from assigned agendas.

Qualifications:

•Degree in computer science, software engineering, or an adjacent field.

• Excellent knowledge of SCM systems like Git, GitHub, and GitLab.

• Excellent knowledge of CI-CD pipelines.

• Excellent knowledge in docker, podman & k8s (OpenShift knowledge preferred).

• Excellent knowledge of OS clusters.

• Excellent knowledge in Nexus, Jira, Monitoring, Logging, Service mesh, GitOps & SonarQube.

• Experience working on Linux-based infrastructure.

• Experience in Python, and Java.

• Configuring and managing databases such as MySQL, and Mongo.

• Awareness of DevSecOps concepts.

• Very good communication and documentation skills.

• Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
